Foreclosures have mostly been suppressed since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. Two years of foreclosure moratoriums were followed by several years of Covid-era mortgage workouts for those who fell behind. But you can't stop foreclosures forever, and they are back!

There is years of shadow foreclosure inventory sitting out there. Foreclosures that have not been able to start, and foreclosures that have been started over the last 5 years but not completed. As moratoriums and workout programs end, this inventory is coming to market again to be liquidated.
