Where to live near Mayport Naval Station

Outside of the Naval Station, Mayport Village is a small fishing community with a tiny population and just a few hundred modest homes, set remotely at the northern tip of the Jacksonville Beaches. While rarely available, homes in Mayport are the cheapest in the area. 

North Beach is southwest of Mayport, just north of Atlantic Beach. This growing area is not yet as developed as the other Jacksonville Beach Communities and still offers homes minutes from Mayport Navy base at a good value.

Atlantic Beach is an upscale beach community just a few more minutes away, with a walkable town center full of bars, shops and restaurants. This highly desirable community comes with a price tag to match. 

Just over the Wonderwood Bridge, The Intracoastal West area north of Atlantic (Girvin, East Arlington area) offers a diverse variety of housing options and a 10-15 minute commute. The area is mostly residential and Wonderwood Connector is not usually heavily trafficked.

Fort Caroline is just a bit further down off and north of Wonderwood, but also offers a tremendous variety of homes, from starter townhomes, to gorgeous riverfront mansions. Even at its most north and west points, commuting will be about 20-30 minutes.

Neptune Beach is also a little further out commute wise. Not for the distance so much as the beach traffic. Once you hit Atlantic Boulevard or any point south of it, traffic becomes unavoidable, but if you want another upscale beach side community like Atlantic Beach, here you are!
